In Turkey there are two types of universities at Turkish higher education system. One type is a state university in which students do not have to pay tuition fee during their education. The second one is so called foundation type university where the students have to pay tuition fee. This research aims to reveal the students' perceptions related to higher education programs. To this end, 1046 students have been requested to fill out the questionnaire which includes the names of field of studying at university. According to the survey result it has shown that the rate of the students whose parents have enough financial capability are thinking of registration to a vocational school for 2 years is approximately nearly % 6.When the preference of the students in this group are evaluated the least desired field which are popular are Graphic Design Program, Digital Sculpting Program, Food Technology Program and Child Development Program. Therefore it is suggested that the universities should open programs according to the direct needs of the target groups.
